Procore customers are noticing a significant speed improvement to the application this week. The improvement came about due to some database tuning that was performed by our engineers. The goal of the tuning was to decrease data query times in order to improve Procore’s page load times.
At Procore, we are constantly working on items that we call “invisible improvements.” We define invisible improvements as things that make Procore work better, without requiring our users to change the way they work. In some cases, this means speeding up operations. Another favorite I.I. is to actually remove buttons or screens that few (if any) users seem to be using. In our opinion, faster is better and, in many cases, less is also more.
