Come Meet-Up with the Procore Engineering Team at RailsConf 2017
Having first begun working with Rails at Procore back in 2006, the framework is near and dear to Procore’s R&D team. This year we will be attending RailsConf, where we’ll be speaking and sponsoring the event. We are excited to explore and learn about how other companies have used the Rails platform to build out their products.
Procore’s development team consists largely of engineers focused on Rails. Since we first began developing with Rails, our team has been leading the way in adopting React with Rails, and we’ve always lead with new technologies that ensure we have a modern tech stack to support our product development.
The way we design our product, side-by-side with the end user, is one of the things that makes our R&D team unique. We invite users to work directly with our engineers in Innovation Labs to begin to tackle real-world problems faced by construction professionals, poke holes in the product and help us create new solutions. Through these labs, we have designed an app that is used to keep people in the field safe, shorten the time it takes to complete a project and protect profit. At Procore we do not assume we know how to make a product easy-to-use, we partner with the people using it to make it efficient.
A few members of the Procore team, including Brad Urani, Derek Carter and Jon Henderson will be speaking at the event. We will also be hosting a happy hour on Wednesday at the Phoenix Convention Center Exhibit Hall starting at 4pm CDT.
We will be talking about Procore.org, discussing our partnerships with women in construction, hosting a gaming competition, and of course we’ll be handing out cool swag. We'll also have Cold Brew on tap throughout the conference, as well as snacks - so please come by for refreshments and say hi to our team. This will all take place at Booth 101 in the exhibit hall.
