Procore acquires Construction BI to bring next generation analytics and AI to the construction industry
Procore’s vision is to improve the lives of everyone in construction, and today we’re taking another step towards realizing that vision with our acquisition of Construction BI. Founded by Jason Ramsey in 2017, Construction BI provides business intelligence solutions to construction firms to help maximize technology investments, improve competitiveness, and differentiate services.
Construction BI initially launched on the Procore App Marketplace in 2017 providing users with the ability to integrate their data from Procore with Microsoft Power BI. It allows the construction industry to surface deeper insights from their Procore data across tools like prime contracts, commitments, change orders, budgets, invoicing, RFIs, submittals, inspections, observations, and more.
As the construction industry continues to increase its adoption of technology to improve the building process, there’s an opportunity to leverage the wealth of newly-created information to make data-driven decisions. With the acquisition of Construction BI we look forward to offering customers greater transparency and accessibility to their data to support them in making better, more informed decisions, and to providing customers with a host of new and rich industry insights, such as benchmarking against peers, foreshadowing risk, and accurately predicting outcomes throughout the course of construction.
“Having worked in the construction industry I understand the value that data brings to the building process, and when I launched Construction BI on the Procore platform it expanded what I knew was possible with data to the largest network of construction professionals,” said Jason Ramsey, founder and CEO, Construction BI. “Joining the Procore team will allow us to accelerate the work that we’ve already done for so many Procore customers and users as a marketplace partner, and provide the industry with a best-in-class analytics and reporting tool it deserves.”
We have already begun working on integration plans to be able to deliver the industry’s most robust data insights and reporting capabilities, and in the interim expect to continue to support Construction BI and Procore’s mutual customers.
