Procore and Lowe’s Partner to Streamline Materials Procurement
Materials procurement is not a one-and-done event; it’s a constant throughout the entire lifecycle of a construction project. Agora Systems reports that:
- Materials typically account for up to 40% of project costs,
- Specialty contractors could increase their profit margin by 7% with improved materials management, and
- Foremen lacking visibility into their supply chain will spend 8+ hours per week tracking materials, often leading to repeat orders and late deliveries.
Procore and Lowe’s have joined forces to tackle this massive challenge. Now, Procore customers in the United States can access Lowe’s 40,000+ in-store products and over two million online products on Lowes.com at a 5-20% tiered discount.
Procore’s investment in partnerships with like-minded brands like Lowe’s supports our vision of improving the lives of everyone in construction. Lowe’s for Pros is a solution made for commercial customers to save time and money, and to run their businesses more efficiently. Users can make and track purchases from the convenience of a computer, tablet or smartphone. Lowe’s for Pros also allows customers to buy items online, pick-up in-store, or have orders delivered directly to their business or jobsite. Users can track purchases, set spending limits for employees using their company account, develop requisition lists, access purchase history reports, and create custom catalogs for future orders.
“Materials procurement has always been an uphill battle for us because we rely on so many different vendors. This leaves us with supplier and purchase data that is rarely consistent or easily managed within one central location,” said Jon Coon, Project Manager at Waco, Inc. “Procore and Lowe’s are two names I know I can trust - I’m excited for this partnership to make the procurement process much easier, and ultimately save us time and money.”
“We are excited to partner with Procore to help construction professionals streamline their materials procurement that can otherwise present unnecessary time and budget challenges,” said David Venables, National Accounts, Lowe's.
The 5-20% tiered discount is only accessible for Procore customers in the United States and cannot be applied retroactively. Purchases must be made through Lowe’s for Pros. For more information about the partnership, click here.
