Celebrating Women in Construction Week 2025
Women in Construction Week, held annually during the first week of March, is a time to recognize and celebrate the incredible contributions of women in the construction industry. This year’s theme, Together We Rise, celebrates the strength and knowledge of women and the important role they play in shaping the future of construction and the built world.
Here are a few ways Procore is highlighting women in construction this week and beyond:
Breaking Barriers: Women at Work Docuseries
The participation of women in construction hovers at around the same percentage in the US, United Kingdom, and Australia – roughly 14 to 15% of the workforce is female. Recognizing that storytelling is a powerful way to celebrate and empower women in the industry, Jennifer Todd, founder of LMS General Contractors and the non-profit A Greener Tomorrow, set out to ensure the stories of women in construction are portrayed and shared. Produced by A Greener Tomorrow in partnership with Procore, the Breaking Barriers: Women at Work docuseries takes a bold approach in amplifying the stories of construction leaders who are reshaping the industry.
The first episode, titled Groundbreaker, features Dina Kimble, President & CEO of Royal Electric, highlighting the power of modern leadership and the importance of workplace culture. The premiere episode debuts at a live event in Sacramento on March 5, and will be released on YouTube the following week. Take a sneak peek at Dina’s incredible story:
Turner + Procore Women in Construction Event
Procore is teaming up with Turner Construction to host an event at the Procore Tower in Austin, Texas on March 5. With an active jobsite as the backdrop, this event will celebrate collaboration and innovation across the industry. Attendees will have an opportunity to network, view the episode 1 of the Breaking Barriers docuseries, and hear highlights from Turner’s Director of ESG, Jennifer Downey’s, recent interview on The Power of Construction Podcast.
National Association of Women in Construction Opportunities
Education and mentorship play a crucial role in career development for women in construction. Procore is proud to continue supporting the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC). On March 5 at 3:00 pm ET/12:00 pm PT, Procore’s Construction Education Program Manager, Janine Trinidad, will co-host NAWIC’s webinar, “Rise Up - A New Approach to Your Personal Development.” During this session, Janine and NAWIC will discuss the mindset shift and resources needed for women in construction to transform imposter syndrome into curiosity and resilience.
Additionally, on March 13, Procore will join the NAWIC networking hour in New York City, for an in-person opportunity for attendees to connect, share experiences, and build relationships that drive professional growth.
