Calling All Women in Construction
Last November, a colleague and I attended the Women in Design+Construction conference in Dana Point, CA. This conference was different – set apart from all the shows we attend on the usual.
The two of us were asked to take a seat at the table and actively participate with attendees, speakers, and panelists of over 100 women in design, engineering, technology and construction. We learned the difference between equity and equality, discussed the lack of skilled employees in the industry, and agreed that it was more challenging than expected to find committed mentors in the industry, as women.
Our conversations spanned beyond construction software and moved towards brainstorming ideas on how we, Procore, could help empower women in construction.
Knowing our voices are not the only ones to be heard, we've decided to elevate the conversation by giving away 62 free tickets to Groundbreak on March 29th in Austin, TX-- and we’re giving women a front row seat.
The 62 free tickets we’ve set aside are in honor of the 62 years the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) has supported women in the construction industry.
Originally launched as our user conference, Groundbreak has grown into something larger that allows us to give back to the construction community. This event caters to the best names in the industry with five educational and thought-provoking tracks, an action-packed Innovation Lab, and celebrity keynotes.
We are very excited to kick off Women in Construction | Empowered by Procore at Groundbreak 2017. Be heard. Apply for a free ticket.
