Supporting Construction Inclusion Week 2023 at Procore

Today marks the first day of Construction Inclusion Week, an opportunity to take part in conversations that drive alignment around diversity, equity, and inclusion in construction. Building our communities means more than just building the structures themselves—it’s about fostering the culture and values that help our communities thrive.

As an official sponsor of Construction Inclusion Week, Procore is committed to building an equitable world in construction where everyone has a sense of belonging. Procore is on a mission to co-create a culture where diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) are embedded into everything we do.

This Construction Inclusion Week, we look forward to sharing insights on how to build a truly inclusive culture that enables your team to attract, retain, and develop the best talent—and improve the lives of everyone in the industry.

By partnering with two of our industry partners, the Associated General Contractors (AGC) and the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), we seek to speak to the themes of this year’s Construction Inclusion Week.

Procore is a proud sponsor of a four-part series, hosted by AGC, titled From Pledge to Progress: Navigating the Journey to a Culture of CARE in Construction. This virtual webinar series takes place October 16-19th and will premiere a new topic each day at 2:00 p.m. ET. Each webinar will explore various aspects of inclusivity in the industry, and feature companies that are leading the way in DEIB. Sessions will focus on building a “culture of CARE,” fostering belonging and the pursuit of greater diversity and inclusion.

In addition, on October 19th at 3:00 p.m. ET, we are partnering with ABC for a panel discussion called Workplace Culture: How Culture Drives Business and Unlocks Performance. This panel will cover how a focus on total human health is key to creating an inclusive workplace culture. Learn about the practical steps that leaders are taking, the key metrics they’re using, and the building blocks they’re deploying to drive business performance.

Finally, here are some resources for you to start building an equitable culture in your business:

  • Building Inclusion Courses: This curriculum of three continuing education courses helps companies define inclusion, communicate more inclusively, and build a business case for an ongoing commitment to inclusion.
  • The Data on Diversity in Construction: In this on-demand webinar, we investigate how a commitment to supporting women and people of color in the construction industry helps retain valuable talent and bolster innovation.
  • Women in Construction: Explore how our WIC initiative aims to increase the presence of women in construction by leveraging the Procore network to provide advocates and construction companies resources.

There is still a lot of work to do—at Procore and in the technology and construction industries. It takes time to create sustainable change and we are committed to the journey ahead and our partnership in accelerating DEIB. Learn more at procore.com/dibs.
